Compliance & Transparency
Project Plenty is committed to full transparency and strict adherence to the California Political Reform Act. We are organized as a California political committee (a recipient committee), and we believe that integrity is the foundation of durable progressive power. Every contribution and expenditure is tracked, authorized, and reported in line with state law and our own bylaws.
Financial Disclosures & Reporting
As a registered committee, we file periodic campaign statements with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) and the California Secretary of State, and those filings are part of the public record. Our Treasurer maintains a compliance calendar covering semiannual, preelection, and late-contribution deadlines, and we retain complete source documentation for at least four years. Below are the disclosures and rules that govern our finances.
Campaign Statements
Our filings and expenditure reports are publicly available through California's Cal-Access disclosure portal.

No expenditure is made without the Treasurer's authorization. Our bylaws set default dual-approval thresholds: the Treasurer alone may authorize spending up to $500; the Treasurer and Chair jointly approve expenditures from $501 to $2,500; and expenditures above $2,500 require Treasurer plus Board authorization. Committee funds are kept in a dedicated campaign account, are never commingled with personal or other organizational funds, and are governed by an annual budget with regular financial updates to the Board.
Conflicts of Interest
Directors, officers, and key volunteers act in the best interest of the committee and disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest. Where a conflict is material, the affected individual recuses from discussion and voting, and the disclosure and recusal are documented in the minutes.
