21st Century Economic Bill of Rights
The California Democratic Party adopts a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights resolution, reaffirming that Democrats stand for the kind of economy and society most Americans want.
2025
Democrats Support Economic Security for All
California Democratic Party delegates who went on to found Project Plenty author a cost-of-living resolution calling for living wages, union rights, paid family leave, childcare, education, housing, lifeline utilities, and healthcare. It passes at the May 2025 Convention in Anaheim.
2026
A 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights, nationally
The Democratic National Committee adopts Resolution 12, enumerating twelve fundamental economic rights. It recognizes state parties, California among them, that had already adopted resolutions supporting a modern Economic Bill of Rights.
